Apply for a Grant

Youth As Resources is an organization that develops youth and gives small grants to them to operate student-led projects in the community. Once a grant application is received, a screening committee composed of youth and adult members interviews youth applicants about their project, evaluates their grant application and presentation, and makes recommendations to the YAR Board of Directors regarding project funding.

Projects funded will be those:

  • that address a critical community problem(s)
  • where young people come up with the idea, create the plan, do the work and make the decisions — with the help and support of adults
  • that can be started and carried out by the same group of young people *grant application must be filled out by youth*
